When you purchased your Nissan you received a metal tag containing your key code. This number can be used to reproduce your key at any Nissan facility. If you purchased your Nissan from us, we will have your key code in our database and are always happy to provide you with a duplicate key. NOTE: newer models contain computerized chips inside your key. In order to properly program new keys, you must bring all copies in your possession with you so they can be programmed to match properly.

Q.

Where can I go to get reviews on Boston Nissan dealers?

A.

Click here to checkout DealerRater.com! DealerRater is the best source for consumer reviews about the places you might be considering doing business. You may have heard, car dealers haven't always had the best reputations. In fact, even today some dealers still insist on deceitful practices. Some will even go so far as to post phony good reviews about themselves and phony bad reviews about their competitors! That's where DealerRater stands alone! They monitor every single review and track them against dealerships IP addresses and those of their employee's. If a dealer or dealership employee is caught posting a fraudulent review(s), they are blacklisted and DealerRater will post a message on that dealer's review page letting consumer's know of their behavior. The message is there for 3 months for each infraction and the phony review is removed. Marlboro Nissan is proud to be the #1 Ranked Nissan Dealer in the WORLD on DealerRater.com and has retained the #1 NPI rating in New England for 5 consecutive years.

Where can I go to shop Nissan Accessories in Boston?

A.

Q.

What kind of replacement tires do you recommend for my Nissan?

A.

We stock a full range of replacement tires. Generally, it is a good rule to replace tires with the same brand as previous. Although it is our opinion that Michelin makes the best tires on the road. We can obtain just about any tire of your choosing, however you always want replacement tires to have a same or higher speed rating as the original tire. AWD vehicles should always have all four tires replaced at the same time to optimize with the AWD system.

Q.

Why should I use genuine Nissan factory parts?

A.

Genuine Nissan parts come with a minimum 12 month/12,000 mile warranty. They are the best quality, will always retain a better fit and in some cases will preserve your warranty. For example, Nissan oil filters have an anti-drainback valve. This allows the engine to start up with instant lubrication. Most non-Nissan oil filters do not contain this valve and overnight all the oil drains back into the oil pan. When your car is started in the morning it will initially start with essentially no oil! Those few seconds of harshness add up every time the vehicle is started wearing thousands of miles from the life of your vehicle with each harsh start.

Q.

What should I do if my Check Engine light comes on?

A.

All cars today have some form of a service engine soon or check engine light. This light or notification can come on for many different reasons, most often due to emissions systems malfunctions. In fact, driving with a removed gas cap can trigger this light. In most cases, it is safe to continue driving your vehicle until you can bring it in for diagnoses, which is free of charge at Marlboro Nissan. A blinking warning light, which is very rare, indicates an engine misfire. If you see this, do not drive the vehicle above 45 MPH and bring it to us as soon as possible!

Q.

Why is it important to rotate my tires?

A.

Tire rotation equalizes wear and will save you money over the long run. This will prolong the life of the tire and especially on AWD vehicles, helps to optimize fuel economy and the operation of AWD systems.

Q.

What benefit is there to having my oil changed at Marlboro Nissan as opposed to an independent facility?

A.

You will always have factory recommended oil and a Genuine Nissan oil filter with anti-drainback. You will receive a new drain plug gasket every time which is often overlooked at independent facilities. We retain all records for you for warranty preservation - if you do not have documentation saved from your independent your warranty could be void in the event of engine failure. We top off all fluids including washer fluid. Our technicians are seasoned professionals. To save on cost, most independents hire younger, inexperienced and uncertified technicians. All 8 Marlboro Nissan technicians are ASE certified and have a combined experience of over 300 years - thats an average of 37.5 years each!!!! Lastly, our every day oil change is priced at $24.95. It's not a special we run once in a while. Often this price is equal too or less than most independent oil change specials. The real question is...What is the benefit to having this done at an independent?
